Do you relocate employees or assist transferees during their relocation?  Do the transferees own a property?  Are they planning on renovating or making repairs to their home before they transfer?  Will they be disturbing paint?   If you answered YES to any of these questions… please watch this video.

The National Association of Realtors® along with the EPA recently released updated information covering the requirements for lead based paint in regards to renovation and repairs.  With the new rules going into effect during 2010,  it’s important to stay on top of these changes.

Specifics covered in this video include:

  • Reasons for the update
  • The new rules
  • Affects for real estate professionals
  • Targeted homes
  • Applicable dates
  • “Disturbing Paint” definition
  • Certifications required
  • Who has the right to file suit, and more

Plan on spending about five or six minutes to watch…a little time invested upfront could save thousands of dollars later.  To learn more go to:

This week ended in a tough position for financial markets and it appears economists are not overly excited about the second half of 2010.

In fact, many economists are forecasting a low-to-moderate growth period.  Does this type of forecast cause concern or ease tension? Will the Federal Reserve continue to maintain its low federal fund rates?  Will interest rates continue to stay like they are? What will happen with unemployment rates? Housing? Personal income and growth?

Today,  Wells Fargo Securities stated in their monthly Economic Outlook that, ” there is no ‘easy button’ to push to deal with the complex, interrelated problems of slow job growth, the ongoing housing correction, low inflation/lack of pricing power, and overall concerns about federal and state deficits.”  The focus on this report is for all of us to have a better understanding about what has transpired so far this year, where we are today, and to gain insights on where the economy  may be headed (from both a U.S. and global perspective) as 2010 draws to a close.

How do you feel about the economy? What are your predictions for the remainder of the year?  What questions are you asking?

By the way…I highly recommend subscribing to Wells Fargo’s monthly reports.  Check them out!
